USA Savvy Shoppers Need Free Christmas Decor Ideas? Try These!
Today, as I waited for the Handivan to pick me up from grocery shopping, I noticed the Christmas trees were selling for $25. How on earth I'd even be able to get one home if I had the money, I don't know, but I noticed scraps on the ground, and asked how much they were. -FREE!

Here are a few things I've done with my free gleanings to brighten our rooms.
Perhaps these ideas will brighten your home too.
These decorations use things we already use at home everyday. The fireplace is part of our rented rooms. The apples, we got at an amazing deal last week, and the mandarin oranges were .99 for a dozen on the mark down rack.
In previous years, we've made pomanders using oranges and cloves, but mandarin oranges or tangerines are so much easier to poke the cloves into. I hope they dry as well as oranges do.
We're also going to use the left-over needles to make fragrant sachets perhaps using this free crocheted mini snowman pattern.
We'll also simmer some needles with cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon.
Yes it's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas and it's got me thinking about the most magical Christmas tree I ever saw. You can read about it on my personal blog.
We hope our south of the border friends will find these ideas handy for stretching their budgets too.
