Free Websites for Non-Profits

Does your organization or church need a Website?
TechMission has received a grant from the Boston Capacity Tank where for TechMission Youth Academy program where we will be providing free Websites for nonprofits and churches.  Below is a summary of how the program works:

1. Apply.  to get a free website though TechMission.  (Includes site design  domain name registration (if needed) and one year  free Web hosting. (limited primarily to organizations in Massachusetts serving at-risk communities.  Organizations in outside of Massachusetts may apply only if they are an existing TechMission Corps site)
2. Get a Free Website. If selected, a website for your organization will be based around an existing site template at www.cityvision.edu, www.urbanministry.org or www.techmission.org.  Pick which template you want, and colors will be nodified to fit your need, The websites will be designed by urban youth staff supervised by technology professionals and TechMissions staff.
3. Provide Content.  You provide 1) All the text for each page for your website 2) The menu outline for your site 3) Any logos or pictures you want included.
4. Support. Once the initial website is set up, you can edit all your web pages through a regular web browser.  Free hosting for one year, but we no provide additional site work  nor support after Summer, 2010.

Applications approved on a first-come first served basis,  so apply by July 31.  Send your application and questions to harold@techmission.org. 
Please include the following in your application:

1. Please describe what your organization does and how you are serving at-risk communities.
2. Do you have an existing Website?  If so what is the Web address.
   a. If so, why do you need a new website?
   b.    If not, please explain how a website would benefit your organization
   c.    Why do you need a free website?
3. By what date could you provide all the content needed for the website?  Including: 1) All the text for each page for your website 2) The menu outline for your site 3) Any logos or pictures you want included.
